Do you use Vaporub at work to get through the day?
Those of you who are firefighters, paramedics, medical professionals and police officers often use Vick’s Vaporub to deal with bad odours - you might rub it in and under their nose to block smells like body odour, decomposing bodies and other offensive smells, keeping it readily accessible.
You should know though that Vaporub contains camphor which is fairly safe when rubbed on unbroken skin in small doses, but quite toxic and even deadly when ingested (into the mucus membranes and/or broken skin) or used over long periods of time. Further, Vaporub contains petroleum jelly, a health and environmental hazard (and potentially containing
carcinogenic PAHs), as well as turpentine oil which is poisonous if ingested and a skin and lung irritant.
SOOTSOAP SMELL GEL is an all natural, SAFE solution for blocking noxious odours.
